For fabric how do I know if it's 30% stretch
To figure out stretch of a fabric, hold 10" of fabric against a ruler. Hold one end down and see how far you can stretch it without distorting the fabric. For example, if you hold down one piece at 0 on the ruler and you start the stretch at 10" and you can stretch it to 14" without distortion, then your stretch is 40%. If you can stretch to 11" it has 10% stretch. Hopefully I'm explaining myself properly. Good luck!!
