Hi all, I'm in need of some fabric advice! I have a lightweight fleece-back sweatshirting in my stash that I would really like to use up for the January project. However the fabric only has very little mechanical stretch, it's got no elastane content in it. Do you think it would be safe for me to use it if I size up in the sweatpants? I think it would be okay in the size as per my measurements for the hoodie as it doesn't seem like a very fitted style.

I don't understand why stretch is required. I checked my own sweatpants and there's no stretch at all in that fabric!
