Sew Together 2026

I am really enjoying this 2026 sewing challenge! This dress is definitely not something I would normally choose, but it was a fun and easy make.

I wasn't surprised that the bust and V-neckline didn't turn out very nicely. Even the sample shown by the pattern designer didn't seem to fit or lay well in the photos. Once I tried it on, I realized I just didn't love how it looked on my body.

But that's the beauty of sewing—you can always make it work! After taking my photos, I cut off the bodice and turned it into a skirt instead. Now it's a piece I'll actually wear, so I call that a true win!
