Finished pants
Finished up the pants today. I like the addition of the drawstring feature and got to use the buttonhole maker on my sewing machine for the first time for that instead of grommets. The pockets really threw me. Am I the only one? I ended up sewing the outside of the pocket lining on one of the side to the outside edge of the pants to get it to line up but not sure if that is correct. The pockets didn't lay especially flat during the waistband attachment portion. I mean, they are functional pockets so I did something right, but not neat by any means. Thankful for this Sew Together challenge to try my hand at garment sewing!

The pockets aline probably better if you take a thin fabric on the inside of the pocket. I followed the instructions as well using the same fabric everywhere. I ran into the same issue as you. I did fix it with a fixing stich on the inside on the seam allowance.
