January sweatpants
I'm excited to participate with everyone on Lindsey's sew along this year. I'll be using patterns from my collection, inspired by each month's choice as outlined by Lindsey. For January, I sewed up Butterick B7014 in a deep purple polyester fabric. I made an XL based off my waist measurement. The pants don't look horrible, but they are definitely too big, especially in the rise. I did meticulous sewing, so I'm a bit gutted. I will eventually take them apart and re-cut the pieces in a smaller size. Right now I'm excited to move on to another project.

Beautiful!! I've found that if I go with the hip measurement, I can always adjust the waist. It's a lot easier and the pants fit better with less work. Good luck!
