January 'Dash' pants - fitting: length alteration
Hi There,
I have only made one alteration to my pattern so far, which is to lengthen the legs. I noticed that in the instructions, they advise us to cut and insert in two places on the leg, while the pattern itself only has one alteration line (mid-thigh).
Now, these are pretty straight-legged pants to start with, but there is a slight taper and I'm guessing that making two small additions (thigh and calf) rather than one big one would maintain the overall pant leg shape better. What I'm risking doing here is making the pant leg baggier lower down than intended.
Although I guess it hardly matters with sweatpants, this is an interesting point for less forgiving designs I might do later.

If you are only lengthening an inch or even 2, like you, I don’t think it’ll matter.
