Challenge Updates + Perks

Hi, you guys! I've been keeping up with all your comments and so happy to hear about your progress in making the Dash Sweatpants! I have been working behind the scenes to get you guys some codes and perks for participating and I have a couple of pattern updates, too. 1. For February's pattern, we will be making the Core Tee. The lovely people at iSeeFabric.com have partnered with me to offer you guys a code for your fabric. From now through February 28th, get free shipping on any order (Challenge or not) with the code FREESHIPHEM. I'll be reminding you of this with other February videos and posts, but be sure to give their site a look...all of their fabrics are a dream! 2. November's Peppermint Magazine is NOT size inclusive. In fact, they couldn't even give me finished garment measurement for it. So, I'm going to be offering an alternativ…

Hi Lindsey, The Iseefabric.com fabrics looks amazing, and I would buy some, but sadly the discount coupon is not valid in Canada and shipping cost would be too expensive. They do have some lovely fabrics at good prices. Maybe just mention that coupon is not valid on Canada/ international shipping. Cheers!

Dash pants / January

I finished my Dash pants tonight and I really like them, I used a lightweight waffle knit I found at Hobby Lobby. I chose the high waisted 1.5 “ elastic band. Very comfortable.. I would like to make another pair soon.

Love those. Great job. Look great. I never thought about a waffle knit. I've been putting off making them as I don't have sweatshirt fabric. I have been shopping my stash to find something to make them out of. I think I might have waffle knit.

🧵 New Sew With Me Video Is Live!

The Dash Sweatpants Sew With Me is now available, with a big focus on sewing an elevated, expensive-looking waistband.

This isn’t a step-by-step sew-along — it’s a look at the construction choices and details I use when I want a basic garment to feel polished and intentional.

You can watch it on YouTube https://youtu.be/1e95xDI1ZcA or directly in the January section of Sew Together. If you try any of these waistband techniques, I’d love to hear how they work for you!

What stitch did you use to sew on the elastic channels? It looks like straight stitch but how would this stretch with the elastic?

Fit With Me Video is liveeee!

The Fit With Me: Dash Sweatpants video is now live! I share how I approached fit, what I noticed, and the simple adjustments I made — no expert knowledge required, because Lord knows, I'm not a fit expert!

You can watch it on YouTube or inside the January section of Sew Together. Can’t wait to hear what you’re noticing about fit in your own projects

Hi Lindsey,

I really enjoyed the Fit With Me video and need to use that method to decrease the center back length on my next pair.

Thank you so much. I am looking forward to the challenge this year and learning different techniques and fitting methods.
